The Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center (HFHEC) is launching its inaugural Educators Advisory Committee, and we are seeking dedicated classroom teachers to help shape the educational experience of this brand-new community space before our official opening. 


What You’ll Do 

As a committee member during this vital 4-month planning period, you will: 

  • Collaborate in Focus Groups: Provide insight into youth engagement and learning and how students will interact with the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center. 
  • Develop Curriculum: Assist in creating impactful, archive- and artifact-based lesson plans to guide the student experience. 
  • Learn More About the Center: Be among the first to learn how the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center will provide comprehensive Holocaust education resources for schools, leaders, and lifelong learners across Arizona, transforming history into a catalyst for dialogue, action, and standing against antisemitism and hatred. 

Who We’re Looking For 

  • Current Grades 7–12 classroom teachers who regularly teach about the Holocaust and/or other genocides. 
  • Educators ready to inspire empathy, critical thinking, and historical understanding in the next generation. 

Schedule & Commitment 

This is a volunteer position running from August through December 2026. Selected members must commit to attending all four sessions: 

  • In-Person Launch (Phoenix, AZ): Sunday, August 30, 2026 
  • Online Session 1: Wednesday, September 30 | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM MST 
  • Online Session 2: Thursday, October 22 | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM MST 
  • Online Session 3: Tuesday, December 1 | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM MST
